Craig Sandberg - Attorney at Law

sandbergAfter graduating from McGeorge School of Law in 1979, Sandberg worked in the County Counsel 's offices of both Yuba and El Dorado Counties on land use and real estate matters. After leaving the public sector, he participated in the planning and development of several private projects, ranging from commercial use permits to large master planned communities. He has negotiated financing plans and development agreements and has also participated in the creation of special districts and other tasks designed to obtain the approval of a project and to ensure the successful development of various projects.

Mr. Sandberg's experience in representing both public agencies and private interests has resulted in a depth of knowledge in the California Government Code regulation of land use, local governmental powers and the environmental process. Going beyond the local agency approval process, he has actively litigated CEQA and land use matters from the perspective of both local agencies and developers. Drawing from this experience he is able to provide practical advice to avoid litigation and, should avoidance be impossible, aid in a successful result.

Throughout his career he has been active in many organizations including the Building Industry Association, wherein he participated in and chaired a number of committees and councils, including three terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the Building Industry Association of Superior California. In addition Mr. Sandberg is a member of the Environmental and Real Estate Sections of the Sacramento County and State Bar Associations, the Urban Land Institute, and Lambda Alpha International.
